After a lot of struggle to being him to understand his textbooks, his parents ship him off to boarding school where he discovers that he had qualities that were unique and gifted, thanks to motivation of his drawing teacher who reinstates his confidence in himself.
A very inspiring movie, the feature film starring Rani Mukherjee revolves around the main protagonist’s efforts to fight human trafficking in India and make those responsible for it pay. In the role of a police officer, she proves she is the best among all by successfully catching hold of the mafia involved in the act of child trafficking.
Another heart touching tale of a women who loses her child and husband due to a terror attack in Kolkata Metro. She decides to catch the man responsible for this incidence and make him pay by hook or crook. The movie showcases the willingness and determination that she shows in order to catch the culprit.
Sweet and sour, this is a very relatable movie about a girl named ‘Rani’ who is played by Kangana Ranawat. Being a simple city girl who is very rule abiding and gullible, she finds herself deserted by her boyfriend just before their wedding. She then decides to make the best of the situation and goes for tour de France which completely changes her life.
6) Bandit Queen
Heart wrenching tale of a village girl who is badly abused by a gang and comes out a winner by not only uplifting her own position to becoming head to the gang but also leading the same gang which had tried everything possible to destroy her.
7) Mary Kom
Truly amazing tale of small town girl who breaks the shackles of society to become an international level boxer and competing in international women boxing competition. Overcoming odds of losing her child, having estranged relationship with her husband and belonging to a lower middle class family, she wins the world tournament.
One of a kind movie that depicts the struggle that a woman has to face in the corporate world if she wants to exceed men who are in higher positions. Played by Bipasha Basu, this movie revolves around her struggle as she gets caught between two corporate firms, both of whom are trying to destroy her.
9) Jai Gangaajal
Played wonderfully by Priyanka Chopra, this movie shows how she tries to curb corruption in society being a police officer. Even after continuing lack of support from other fellow policemen and the politicians, she single handedly makes a difference by believing in herself.
Cruel but true depiction of what a girl has to go through after marriage in India. This movie (released in 1993) shows how a newly wedded girl sees crimes happening in her house and she is expected to not have any reaction towards it. She breaks the rules and tries to fight the injustices happening around her.
