Kirti Azad is a former Indian cricketer. Though he played for a very short period (only for about 6 years) but he was very famous while he was playing as he was part of Indian Cricket team who won the 1983 world cup.
His father Bhagwat Jha Azad was Chief Minister of Bihar and Member of Indian Parliament. He also served as a Union minister of state. He participated in India’s freedom fight moment.

He is also in politics from more than 2 decades. He has been elected as Member of Parliament multiple times. He is sitting MP from Darbhanga. He was also MLA from Delhi’s Gole Market constituency.
His next generation
His son’s Suryavardhan & Somyavardhan has also tried their luck playing for Delhi’s junior teams.
Kirti Azad is in news because of his fight against corruption in DDCA. He claims that there’s corruption in a cricketing body which needs to be investigated. There’s a lot of controversy around this and he’s making headlines in news and media.
