80 percent Slashed BSNL Offers Heavy Discounts for New Customers

If you’re contemplating to switching over to BSNL as your telecom-provider, you’d be happy to know that there’s no better time than now to do it. News just got out that the state-owned telecom-giant has cut down its rates 80 percent flat to entice new customers, further improving on its customer-acquisition strategy. Under the new scheme launched, the BSNL mobile rates will be slashed for the first two months, for new customers.

“BSNL has revamped its infrastructure now. We have decided to cut mobile call rates by up to 80 per cent for new customer so that they get experience of our revamped services,” said BSNL Chairman and Managing Director Anupam Shrivastava.

The call-tariffs have been pulled down on both per minute and per second billing plan, and the validity-period of the plan is just two months after service-activation.

If a new subscriber opts for per-minute plan, you’d have to incur the Rs. 37 voucher, whereas if you choose to take the per-second pay-plan, then you will have to purchase the Rs. 36 voucher.

The tariff-breakdown for the Rs. 37 voucher is: you will be charged 10 paisa per minute for making local as well as STD calls within BSNL and 30 paisa per minute on other network.

The tariff-breakdown for the Rs. 36 voucher is: you will be charged 1 paisa for every 3 seconds on local and STD calls made within BSNL network and 2 paisa for 3 seconds on other network.

In addition, BSNL has also commenced pro-active regulation on complaints received on social-media, and more prompt resolution of the same.
