Actor Kajal Aggarwal, who plays the role of a blind person in her latest movie “Do Lafzon Ki Kahani” has shared the various challenges and hurdles as visually challenged person faces in his/her daily life. This film uses a unique method of using placards to put across the message that IIT Delhi, Saksham NGO and Snapdeal wants people to see. The entire film is without a sound as Kajal holds placards with details about how “SmartCane” technology is changing the lives of blind individuals in India.
Kajal tells us that as a caring person, we too can donate a SmartCane which has been designed by IIT Delhi. It is equipped with sensors and buzzers which help the blind to anticipate hurdles, especially the hanging ones like tree branches, open windows etc. The standard cane can only help if the obstacle is on the ground which is a huge limitation.
This brilliantly created film is an eye opener for all of us who can see the world with our own eyes and makes us think of all that we can do to help those without the gift of sight. Kajal’s message reaches our heart and it is time to implement it.
