Ekroop Singh:The Boy Whose Foot Was Rejoined

Ekroop Singh The Boy Whose Foot Was Rejoined-1

Plutarch states, ‘what we achieve inwardly will change outer reality’. A small child of 5 years resident of holy city Amritsar has made the above saying practical. He overcame with all the pain of his separated foot in an accident, Ekroop singh, while coming back from a marriage, with his family in a rickshaw in Amritsar, experienced something so severe that he will not forget his whole life. His left foot got entangled in the chain of the rickshaw, resulting his foot separated by the ankle.

It was a time of tragedy and shock for the family and when we meet real tragedy in life, we can react in two ways-either by losing hope or by using the challenge to find our inner strength. But this is also a fact that we don’t come to know how strong we are until we are forced to bring that hidden strength forward. In the times of pain and tragedy, we do amazing things. The capacity of humans for survival and renewal is awesome.

Ekroop Singh’s inner will helped him and his family to overcome this pain. In the meanwhile, Khalsa Aid, which is an international and non-profit aid and relief organization, learnt of this sad news and financial burden of the medical operation. Khalsa Aid offered full support to Ekroop’s family due to struggle of raising funds. Khalsa Aid is mainly funded by UK based Sikhs. The work that people do for Khalsa Aid is not paid for, it is completely voluntary. People take out time from their respective work and education and help humanity grow.

There are still people left on Earth who have fear of God and the above narrated tragedy is the live-set example of existence of humanity still being prominent and the child’s innocence which proves to be his inner will in long run, will lead his way to successful life.
