Gaurav Arora, the splitsvilla contestant had break a stereotype when he transformed himself into a women-Gauri Arora and shocked everyone around him. This post-transformation had gained him highlights and everyone on this reacted positively. For Gaurav, he always knew that he was a women.
Accepting what you are is one of the biggest victories in the world and that’s what Gaurav Arora has done and it was all because of one incident that had changed his entire life an year ago when he entered splitsvilla as a contestant.
From his childhood he knew he was a women and was always attracted to men and a similar incident happened to him in splitsvilla. According to Gaurav, “I fell for a popular TV actor who came as a guest. I was a fan of his college rockstar image. We spent some ‘quality time’ together. For the first time, a guy made me feel like a woman. But I learnt that he was cheating on me with another guy. I was heartbroken and quit the show as I couldn’t take the rejection. The good that came out of it was that I decided to become and live as a woman. He didn’t appreciate my transformation and doesn’t talk to me, even though we go to the same gym.”
It’s tough for Gaurav now as he finds it difficult that he could not make his parents understand. His mother prevented him from talking to his father as probably he would not understand but still Gaurav hopes to get through all this one day. Gaurav’s struggles do not end here only, sometimes he is subjected to mockery also but he is proud of his decision.
Gaurav will undergo a surgery in six months and in the meanwhile he has kept himself patient enough with medicines and fillers.
I never miss my workouts. Even as a transgender, you have the right to look every bit a diva. My figure is my confidence,” Says Gaurav.
