A multi-billionaire businessman is making news for all the wrong reasons.
His name is Gautam Kundu and he has been listed as a fraudster. According to a report published by a news-publication, Kundu is sitting on unimaginable wealth.
He is the Rose Valley Group’s CMD, and he possesses assets in the form of 700 acres land stretching across 12 states, 23 hotels, 150-odd cars, including a dozen imported luxury vehicles, 900 branch offices and 3,078 bank accounts.
His business-empire is afoot across the country in states of Punjab, Delhi, Rajasthan, West Bengal, Odisha, Bihar, Assam, MP, Tripura, Rajasthan, Jharkhand and Andhra Pradesh.
His properties and are still being numbered by the directorate, and it believes Kundu’s land-assets could be amounting to 1000 acres.
Kundu’s businesses blossomed and the Group has earned total wealth amounting to Rs 15,400 crore.
The ED is investigating this high-profile matter and is currently looking into the complaints filed against Kundu’s businesses. The ED has got its hands on the company-software and bank data which reveal that only Rs. 900 crore have been returned upon maturity to the investors.
A list which has been prepared by the ED indicates that Kundu owns properties far and wide: 15 acres in Assam, 10 acres in Madhya Pradesh, 110 acres in Tripura and around 100 acres in West Bengal. Furthermore the man has invested good money in places like East Midnapore, West Midnapore, Burdwan, Darjeeling, Jalpaiguri , Howrah, Bankura, North and South 24 Paraganas districts.
All this may just be the tip of a very big iceberg!
