His ambition is to help students face various academic hurdles that stand in the way of their ambitions. He uploads lectures on his Unacademy platform on YouTube for those aiming to become computer programmers, doctors, civil servants, even experts in foreign languages. The portal has about 400 videos covering subjects like politics, art, history, geography, biodiversity, environment and ecology.

Over 1.1 crore have viewed the videos, while Unacademy has 64,000 Facebook likes and 20,000 Twitter followers. Among them, ten followers have cleared the civil services exams and their success has cheered Saini to offer coaching for other competitive exams.

Saini said confidently that the portal had given success to 10 of their students, who were strictly with them, did not take any other coaching and cracked the civil service exam.

Saini’s focus is on making quality education accessible. For this, he thought the offline mode was not the way to achieve it. He figures that there is a huge need for technological intervention due to scarcity of infrastructure and human resources to meet the demand of millions and that was the reason why he decided to follow fulltime the concept of Unacademy.
