24 year old ,Saiyami Kher is the granddaughter of actress Usha Kiran and niece of Tanvi Azmi and plays the beautiful roles of Soochi and Sahiban in the upcoming movie Mirzya !

She grew up at Nasik with the middle-class upbringing with her parents , her father is Adwait Kher, a former model, and her mother Uttara Mhatre is a former Miss India, she has a sister, Saunskriti. She had seen only 2 movies in her childhood Dumbo and Toy Story.She loves sports and has played badminton and cricket at state level.She did modelling and has campaigned for brands like Levis, Pantaloons, L’oreal. She also has done theatre.

Her first film was Rey, a Telugu feature – when she was 19 years. She did acting workshops with Shankar and Hussein in Delhi to prepare for Bollywood which has given her life-changing experience.

In March 2014, she was finalised for her Bollywood debut a role in Mirzya a film by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra .The film is written by lyricist Gulzar. The movie is inspired by the famous Punjabi folklore of Mirza Sahiba, a different love story.The real and the fantasy world.She plays both Soochi and Sahiban with Harshavardhan Kapoor,Anil Kapoor’s Son. Soochi is the contemporary, modern girl, and she enjoyed doing the role.

Sahiban is more rustic and sensual .They shot the movie for four months, the modernworld was shot in Rajasthan and the fantastical folk tale world was shot in Ladakh. She also learned horse riding for the part ,falling and getting hurt quite a few times in between.The movie is musical ,moves through poetry.

Mirzya’ is expected to hit the screens on October 7th , 2016.
