India is world’s largest democracy and it went through horrible period for about 21 months during 1975 to 1977 when then Prime Minister of India Smt. Indira Gandhi declared emergency across India. People of current generation are not much familiar about this. This is also truth that not many films are made on these topics.

Since now Congress is out of power hence Madhur Bhandarkar who is leading Bollywood film maker, who is very close to ruling BJP is said to be working on a film on emergency called ‘Main, Indu’. As reported in The Times of India “”Indu, in this film has no reference to Indira Gandhi or any real-life character. She’s a female poet who stammers and rebels against the system during these trying times, says a source close to the development.”

It is also in news that the Director is meeting many people including BJP veteran LK Advani, Journalist Tavleen Singh, Kuldeep Nayyar, Dr. Subramanian Swamy and many others. Though not much details are out about the movie but this is surely going to create buzz. Hope some truth will come out.
