NFL Player Jon Dorenbos Performs Inspirational Magic Trick For ‘America’s Got Talent’ Finale

Jon Dorenbos, the American football long snapper, wowed the America’s Got Talent (AGT) judges with his inspirational finale performance.

In 2016, he performed on the eleventh season of America’s Got Talent and made it through the auditions with a card trick. In the Judge Cuts round, Dorenbos got the golden buzzer from Ne-Yo and immediately advanced to the next round. In the quarterfinal round of the Live Shows, Dorenbos asked all 4 judges to draw something on paper, predicted which judge drew what, and then a bottle was broken that contained his correct predictions of all of the judges’ drawings.

In the semifinals, he asked the judges to throw a football at a U.S. map, then revealed 4 quarters from a locked chest whose “tail” sides represented the states hit by the judges footballs. Dorenbos also revealed a hidden map that predicted the locations of the judges’ throws. This performance resulted in his advancing to the Top 10 finals on September 13, 2016.

Philadelphia Eagles snapper Jon Dorenbos made the crowd to go excited with just a pack of cards by his magic tricks about finding yourself during his final performance on 13-Sep-2016 in grand finale of AGT.

To prepare for the trick he made Heidi Klum, Mel B. and Howie Mandel to write their names on three of the twos from the card deck. Dorenbos asked Simon Cowell to write on his two the name of the person who means the most to him, who happens to be his son Eric.

While shuffling the deck of cards and eliminating each of the twos with ease, Dorenbos was thoughtful, narrating the touching story of how he turned into a magician.

“Magic saved my life. And there have been plenty of times when I was lost and I didn’t have the answers and I didn’t know where to go,” said Dorenbos, who had a difficult childhood. “So what did is I turned to magic, and it helped me find myself. It simply taught me, don’t hate, don’t blame and forgive.”

His message to everyone during the AGT finale was “We will find ourselves.”

Not only did Dorenbos find each one of the twos, but “Eric” – written in Simon Cowell’s hand – appeared on the blackboard off to the side of the stage.

“You talk the talk, you walk the walk,” Cowell told Dorenbos at the conclusion of his performance. “I think you’re someone who we’d be proud to say is the winner of America’s Got Talent.”

He finished in 3rd place for the season.

The NFL player has won over the judges once again with the hefty amount from fellow members of the NFL including Aaron Rodgers, quarterback for the Green Bay Packers, and his teammate, Zach Ertz as prize.
