Learning 1: Promise
Always keep your words like Dasharatha. This is why it is said “Raghukul reet sada chali aayi pran jaye par vachan na jaye”. People judge you if you are able to keep your promises.
Learning 2: Follow
When Lord Rama got to know that he has to live in forest for 14 long years he immediately accepted it to keep his father’s promise. It gives us learning to follow instructions of our parents even if they are not in our favor.
Learning 3: Sacrifice
Sita Mata didn’t get “banwaas” but she still sacrificed her life of a queen and decided to go with her husband Lord Rama in forest. This shows sacrifice by us for our loved ones.
Learning 4:Â Brotherhood
Lakshamana brother or Lord Rama too decided to go to forest with his brother. He thought his brother will face problems alone. He showed true brotherhood.
Learning 5: Greed
Greed takes you nowhere. Kaikeyi thought by sending Rama to forest she can make her son Bharata king of Ayodhya. But Bharata refuses to become king and Kaikeyi realizes her mistake. But it was too late when she realized.
Learning 6: Symbolism
When Rama refused to go back to Ayodhya, his brother Bharata took his ‘footwear’ as a symbol and put it on King’s chair until Rama came back from forest. Sometime your belief in symbolism too matters.
Learning 7: Rules
Lakshamana made ‘Lakshamana Rekha’ and advised Sita not to cross that. Sita didn’t follow Lakshamana’s advise and crossed that line. If she wouldn’t have crossed that line, things would have been different. It teaches us to follow rules and guidelines.
Learning 8: Friends
Rama & Lakshamana were alone in forest. They had to fight Ravana who was very powerful. Rama with his skills was able to make a team of people and was able to win friends who fought for him
Learning 9: Unity
When you are in trouble stay united. Ravana was very powerful. Lord Rama had very few people to support in forest. But since Rama was able to unite his supporters, he won.
Learning 10: Dharma & Truth
In the end Lord Rama was able to win over Ravana. No matter how tough it’s to be with ‘Dharma & Truth’ but success is sure if you follow this.
