People with disabilities lead a life which is no more different than normal people. Polio or poliomyelitis is a disease whose damage is irreversible and can cripple a child for life. It is said that there is no cure to the disease, but Pranav Desai who is a polio survivor, spreads a message that with medical advancements and self- tolerance and inner- strength, this serious infection can be blown away.

Pranav Desai, an NRI, is a Vice-President at Global IT Service Company, which is among world’s top 10 companies. He is an advisor to the department of empowerment of persons with disabilities, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment. He is also the founder of a popular website- www.voiceofsap.com, through which he describes people with disabilities as ‘Specially abled people (SAP)’. He is the man who presented ‘Accessible India Campaign (Sugamya Bharat Abhiyan)’ to Indian Government which is formally launched across the country. Due to his constant efforts to do something good for the specially abled people, he has been appointed as an ‘Advisor’ to the ‘Accessible India’ by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment.

This campaign is joined by Art of Living Foundation of Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, which will put all efforts to spread public awareness to make specially abled people a priority part of everyday life.  He has also led the volunteer group ‘Empowering the Specially Abled People’ with a motive to promote Vision 2020 with 12 important targets to be accomplished for the SAP, which is to be included in Government of India’s agenda for SAP. He has also directed his vision in promoting global market opportunities in Assistive Technology sector by working with many international organisations like US India Business Council, and many more.

This precious campaign under the guidance of Pranav Desai is now a country-wide reality and a motivation factor for all nations.
