Very few people would know about Malavath Purna and her achievements. She is the youngest Indian to scale the highest peak of Mount Everest at age of just 13 years and eleven months.
Born in Pakala village (Sirkonda Mandal, Nizamabad) in Telangana an Indian state, Malavath Purna became youngest woman to reach highest Everest peak on 25th of May 2014, Sunday at around 6 am.
Sandhana Palli Anand Kumar from Khammam was another person who accompanied her.
Born in the year 2000 in a tribal family to farm laborers, Malavath Purna’s talent was identified by Dr R S Praveen Kumar. He encouraged & prepared Purna along with other Dalit boy, Sadhanapalii Anand Kumar to climb Mount Everest.
Purna and Anand were both students of Andhra Pradesh Social Welfare Educational Society. It is said that their journey toward climbing Mount Everest took almost 52 days. Both were selected for the adventures journey along with 150 students.
Malavath Purna came from a very poor family background. Her mother Lakshmi and father Devidas being laborers could earn only 3000 rupees per month.
Before climbing Mount Everest, Malavath Purna got professional training for about 8 months from Mountaineering institute in Darjeeling. She practiced to stay in lowest temperatures.
After her accomplishment she shared that her journey was not only adventures but very risky also. Cold weather, harsh waves, limited food, scarcity of oxygen, bad weather were some of the big challenges but still she was determined to achieve her goal.
Famous Indian actor Rahul Bose is directing a movie named as “Poorna: Courage has no limit” which is a motivational biopic on the life and achievements of Malavath Purna.
Rahul Bose got so excited with Malavath Purna’s success story that he hid himself for 14 months to prepare for the movie.
We believe that after release of biopic on Purna it will not only introduce Purna’s success at large scale but will also inspire millions of people.
