A man named Savji Dholakia has done what other fathers would not do normally. This man asked his own son named Dravya Dholakia to go to Kerala and work there as a common man. Remarkable isn’t it!!
Savji Dholakia is the owner of 6000 crore Surat based diamond company that is present in as many as in 71 countries. His son Dravya is doing his MBA in USA and is just 21 years now. It is now said that he came to Kochi, Kerala with just Rs 7000 in his pocket and with three pairs of clothes as instructed by his dad Savji. The main objective of this was to make Dravya understand the pain of common man and the struggles the common man undergoes in his life to earn money.
It is interesting to note that there were three conditions made by Savji. He asked his son to work and earn money on his own, not to use the identity of his dad and finally not to use mobile phone and Rs 7000 must be used only at the time of emergency. The great news is Drava accepted the challenge posed by his dad and he landed in Kochi as that place was new for him. After landing in Kochi life was tough for Drava as the language was new for him and he did not have place to stay and no job also. Dravya now understood the value of money and what rejection meant. A finance professional named Sreejith met Dravya and later Sreejith received calls from Dravya Company CEO who thanked Serenity and informed about the story of Dravya.
