At age of 13 and at 16 ,Sean Swarner was diagnosed with two deadly, unrelated forms of cancer which was already in fourth stage and the doctor had left hopes of his survival .He was expected to live only for 2 weeks ! But he did something impossible for anyone to dare .Yes he climbed ,dreading the cold and chill dangers 29035 foot of Mount Everest with only partial use of his lungs.
At 100 mph winds ,with hardly any oxygen ,he was the first cancer survivor to climb Mount Everest braving the snowstorms, and deadly avalanches.
He next moved on climbing the highest mountain on each continent and thus he became the first cancer survivor to complete the seven summits.
His achievements are awesome along with the Adventure Grand Slam i.e 7 summits he has done both the poles of the earth , the Hawaii Ironman World Championship, the 2014 New York City Marathon .
Today he is a motivational speaker and entrusts people to manage their own goals and challenges their thinking process. He has authored the book Keep Climbing: How I Beat Cancer and Reached the Top of the World where he inspires others to live and gives them hope despite life setbacks.
