In another interview he said “Yes, i will be essaying the role of Anna in the film. Since its sensitive subject, it’s a responsibility on my shoulders to portray his struggles perfectly on the celluloid.”
“The movie is for the masses, I have tried to keep the story and acting real despite creative liberty. We have tried to get his life together in a span of two to three hours”.
Shashank has also revealed that this film has not relation with any controversy like the relations and spat between Anna and Arvind Kejriwal.
This is also worth mentioning that it took almost eight months for Shashank to get into looks of Anna Hazare. He had to lose weight to show young Anna and later gained 12 kgs to look like Anna of today.
“My detailed interactions with Anna helped me with the prep, being a Mahrashtrian myself the lingo was not a problem” said Shashank in an interview to India Today.
