According to a report published by IANS, actress Sonam Kapoor has associated herself with Gems Education, Global Goals Campaign, Reliance Group and the UNICEF to kick off World’s largest Lesson India Programme . On the occasion of Teacher’s day, Sonam Kapoor has pledged to change the world by her social initiative.

“The Worlds’ Largest Lesson India” is a unique initiative that will aim to teach every child in India – nearly 360 million – a lesson about the United Nations Global Goals for Sustainable Development.

A great future is always supported on the base of a proper education and also by this, a child absorb good qualities, said Sonam. In September 2015, the programme was initially inaugurated and a total of 160 countries have conducted lessons.

Comic books, lesson plans were included in the programme. Apart from this, an animated film was also included. The film was said to be introduced by Nobel Peace Prize Winner Malala Yousafzai, tennis champion Serena Williams and international football star Neymar Jr.

Stating her biggest regret, she said that “I am somebody who is very regretful of the fact that I didn’t finish my school after 12th grade. I went to university and I am trying to finish that right now. At the age of 30, I am trying to finish my under grade,”

“I feel that films like ‘Neerja’ and ‘Khoobsurat’ were very inspiring. They were entertaining as well as engaged the audience too. Conceiving simple ideas and simple messages and most importantly narrating them in a simpler way can be more entertaining. It will create an impact on young people”, Sonam added on her films.
