Great news for all Indian- Americans!! It is now confirmed that 18 year old Indian-American Sruthi Palaniappan is the youngest delegate at Democratic National Convention or DNC . It is now known that Hilary Clinton is the party’s presidential candidate. The important point here is Hilary Clinton is the first ever woman to be nominated as presidential candidate.

It is must be noted that Sruthi is a student of the prestigious Harvard University and hat is more interesting is her dad Palaniappan Andiappan is also attending the convention as credentials committee member. It is amazing to note that Arizona based Jerry Emmett of age 102 is the oldest delegate at the convention. One important point to be noted here is Sruthi was given chance to represent Iowa during her call votes recently.

Sruthi Palaniappan expressed her happiness regarding Iowa representation and said that she was highly thankful for that she also added that she was happy being part of nomination process of next president. It must be noted that Sruthi on her FaceBook page wrote that history was made because of the electing Hillary Clinton as she was the first woman presidential nominee. It is very clear that she was greatly impressed by the speech of Obama and thanked him for his speech with beautiful words. It is now revealed by Sruthi that Barrack Obamas legacy would live on when Hilary Clinton and Timkaine become president and vice president respectively. Sruthi Palaniappan finally spoke about how Donald Trump coming to power would be terrible.
