At the Tractors and Farm Equipments or TAFE Mallika Srinivasan is the Queen. This superb company located in Chennai was first started in the year 1960. This company has grown into one of the top companies is because of the contribution made by Mallika Srinivasan as its CEO and Chairman.

Mallika Srinivasan who did econometrics from the renowned University of Madras was awarded gold medal for her excellency in academics as she came out on top. Wharton School of Business in USA must feel proud that its former student Mallika Srinivasan has reached amazing heights in her career. This Mallika Srinivasan spoke about her many incidents in her live and about her dad Sivasailam who was responsible for bringing out the leadership talent in her.

Mallika Srinivasan recollected her thoughts and spoke her heart out and said when she returned to India after her studies in the famous Wharton School of Business in 1986 she wanted to join one of the smaller companies of the famous Amalgamations Group. Her dad Sivasailam insisted that she should join TAFE as her dad thought that Mallika would get great exposure at TAFE. Mallika Srinivasan’s superb hard work and determination to excel brought rich dividends and this TAFE with mere 85 crores revenue in the 80’s has grown and its revenue now is staggering 8020 crores.

Mallika Srinivasan also shared her thoughts about her dad Sivasailam who gave her a small room in his office after she returned from studying business at Wharton Business School. Mallika Srinivasan was told by her dad that she might have completed MBA from Wharton but he won’t be able to afford much when she asked her dad for a bigger room and high salary. He said:

“Listen young lady, you might be an MBA from Wharton, but I don’t need one to run the company.”
