This surfing advertisement from Samsung with snail and Ajeev is inspiring

One sport that has caught the attraction of many these days is this Surfing. This sport is surface water sport where the rider or the surfer rides on deep dace or forward of the moving wave. It is clear that this wave carries the rider to the shores. It must be noted that World Surf League or WSL is the governing body for the surfers who take this sport as their profession.

Founded in the year 1976 in USA this WSL started with surfers named Hemmings and Rarick of Hawaii islands. For this WSL and Samsung a one and half minute video was shot in Mangalore in Karnataka and it was directed by AG. Rojas. This video shows a small snail toiling away and also has 14 year old kid named Ajeev from a small town that is 30 miles from Chennai, India.

It must be noted that this Ajeev was spotted at the Karnataka Surfing festival and now due to Samsung and Leo Burnett he has become a star. Arun co-founder of surf school shared his thoughts and said was one of the eight kids who were called for auditions. The factors that were considered to select Ajeev were his comfort levels before camera and his surfing technique. It must be noted that this Ajeev is from poor family and his dad is a fisherman and his mom runs tea stal and for this advertisement he got one lakh and that is very big money for him. The great news is he would be visiting many countries as the face of the championship.
