Recently the big news that caught many people’s attention was the 20 satellites launched by ISRO’s PSLV rocket. It is now clear that one of those satellites launched was done by the students and faculty of a famous engineering college in Chennai.
The Chennai based Sathyabhama University staffs and students could now feel proud and happy that they were responsible for the launch of one of the 20 satellites recently. It must be noted that their satellite named ‘’Sathyabhamasa’’ that was created to collect information about the greenhouse gases is orbiting the earth. The good news is the satellite launched by the university people is doing well and a base station that was set up at the top floor of this university is tracking the movements of the satellite closely.
Nehal an electronic student wants to take up space technology subject now and it must be noted that this effort to launch a satellite was seven years of hard work and determination. Department of Electronic head Dr Vasanth spoke in awe regarding the achievement and said this would make many students take up space technology as their career. Dr Sheela Rani expressed her happiness and said it was a superb learning experience for the students working with the scientists of ISRO. Great work!!
