In the year 2009 UE Lifesciences was set up by Mihir Shah and Matthew Campisi and this company is now appreciated by many all over for its superb services to the people with breast cancer. A non-invasive hand held device named as ‘’iBreast Exam’’ designed by this company is used to detect breast cancer when it is in the earlier stages and thereby many lives of woman is saved. It is well known that normal benign breast tissues are usually soft when compared to the hard and stiff breast tumours tissues. This is utilized by this hand held device in identifying the breast cancer to great effects.

The disadvantages of using Mammography in detecting breast cancer in woman are it is costly, painful also sometimes plus it would need a specialist to operate. These issues are now overcome in this hand held ‘’iBreastExam’’ device. It is nice to note that this company has got investors like Manipal Hospitals, Unitus Seed Fund, and Arian Capital Location. The shocking piece of news is nearly 40,000 women are having this breast cancer in USA. It is now clear that half of cancer affected women die before the age of just 50. It must be noted that around 10,000 women have been screened since the launch of this compact device last year and that would rise to one lakh women getting screened by the year end. Great work!!
